Nintendo!
Only joking. Bethesda rocked it so hard, though.
Also, people seem to be forgetting that Yoshi's Woolly World is coming soon and is getting rave previews - the last minute preview linked in the article says it's incredible.
"Good NWC? Ignore, Good Smash Direct? Ignore, Good Treehouse? Ignore. "
That's it, man, and I'd go further. Great January Nintendo Direct? Ignore. Great presentations every month? Ignore.
Nintendo spreads announcements out all through the year rather than hoarding them for E3.
"Think they did a poor job of convincing potential WiiU buyers to get one this Xmas." Now that is true, but I can't see that being the purpose of the vid. Perhaps should have been though seeing as the NX has effectively given it a Logan's Run time limit.
I feel like they should have at least explained MPFF and walked us through what the game's actually about. From the article: "Ninty had to know that we'd react poorly given the complete lack of true series entries of late. Had they explained that it was from the creators of Luigi's Mansion 2 and Mario Strikers GC, fans might have cut it some slack"
I thought they did a good job for a first attempt. Need to work on pacing and delivery, but Star Ocean 5 localisation was worth the watch on its own for me.
They showed plenty of Doom 3 and won me over completely with its classic shooter mechanics.
Potato, pot-ah-to.
As a Wii u owner I'm actually pretty happy with what they announced and are announcing via Treehouse/YT, but yeah, I do think they needed maybe one or two BIG hitters.
I know what you mean. Good to have that fallback -it's an upgrade as much as anything.
Agreed, this was enormous. Doesn't really benefit anyone except gamers, either. Really awesome gesture.
Remember that £129.99 includes VAT, but $149.99 doesn't include sales tax. Knock off VAT and the conversion isn't too bad.
But it is still a rip-off. ;)
In fairness, they actually revealed two complete surprises with South Park AND Wildlands. Pretty impressive.
Oh EA. Every year they almost host a decent presser and then find numerous ways to mess it up.
Yeah, I think they chose terrible sequences from both. TR had lots of QTEs while Gears looked like The Order: 2886.
Yup, they absolutely crushed it. Great show and a great start to the day no matter your favoured console/platform.
I was about to disagree and say "what about Fallout?" but... then I realised that I actually agree with you. I'm no more or less excited about F4 than when they revealed the teaser. It looks incredible. But I really didn't expect DOOM to look SO awesome at this stage - it took me by surprise and it's actually the bit I remember most.
Also, yeah, SnapMap looks awesome. Beats having to use .WAD files!
The dev was taking a lot of damage by the look of the HUD, and the Hell gameplay sequence had a lot of foes. I totally agree that I'd have liked to see more foes on screen, for sure, though this being E3 it was probably a very tightly scripted demo sequence with as many demons as it needed.
Oh come on, this "article" is barely longer than the text description.
It's everything I want from a Doom remake. Fast, brutal, gory, but encouraging us to feel like a badass. I liked Doom 3, really, but I also think it missed the point a bit.
So up for this.
Hang about, isn't the PS+ version out yet? TBH it's easily worth £11.99, doesn't really matter.
